    Time to do some rework

Wow I looked at when my last post was and could not believe it had been 5 years. During that time I have used the Parker each season with few issues. Most of my time has been taken doing a frame off restoration mod on my 65 Pick up. This year the Parker is letting me know she has been neglected...

Teak Floor for Wheel House 2520MV

Shop space has gotten a bit tight. Too many projects and a lot of equipment for airplanes, boats, cars and household chores. I am working with the CEO to find the time to add 40 feet. With 260 days on the road last year time is the issue. It was good to spend 4 days doing something other than...

Teak Floor for Wheel House 2520MV

Project completed. Easy to remove for cleaning, everything interlocks so it does not move around and best of all no more slipping.

Teak Floor for Wheel House 2520MV

Well as some of us have found out the cabin floor can be quite slippery when feet are wet and you are in a hurry. Since buying my 2520MV I have been considering solutions. I have rejected some because they were too expensive, some because I did not think they would wear well and some because I...

    Boat trailer inspection near Solomons

Had to take mine to Tristate two years ago. I am in St. Leonard and that was the closest. They were great, reasonable and only kept it a day.

    Noodling for catfish anyone?

I am presently in Columbia SA. The locals talk about Catfish that are over 120 pounds residing in the rivers. They fish for them using live bait (small fish about 12 inches long) on 6 inch hooks attached to 1/2 inch rope. It is a different world

    Engine Control Project being considered

Brian, I run my own business doing contract and consulting work on executive jets. Worked for Gulfstream for 26 years and decided it was time to go at my own pace. I had a sail boat at Stoney’s ten years ago. It was ok just a long way up the river. B-Faithful, when I re-powered I considered a...

    Engine Control Project being considered

Thanks Kevin, Follow through is assured in that I have removed the old controls and have no intention of fixing the problems that caused the removal. The pictures are as I remembered. Are those Teleflex SR controls? The pictures remind of warmer times. I ran mine onto the trailer in Solomon’s on...

    Engine Control Project being considered

Brian, thanks for the rocker switch sites. This looks like a good source. I have some test boxes I need to build for some of the aircraft folks I deal with and may have to work an extra switch into the order (and billing). The customers won’t mind because they end up abusing my refrigerator on a...

    Engine Control Project being considered

Dale thank you for the reply. My understanding is the difference between the SR and SRT is the SRT was designed to address cable creep somehow. As this has never been a problem I will probably spring for the SR. I understand the Mercury cables have to go and I need to install Teleflex cables...

    Engine Control Project being considered

Well here we are in project season again and I find myself trying to remember the things I swore I would fix in the off season. After deep thought I remembered I have an occasional short somewhere in the engine trim system. When I got down to troubleshooting I discovered the three trim wires in...
