2003 2510 Suzuki Repower - White or Black

For those that repowered did you go with the white or black. I was set on the white but dealer started steering me to black. What's everyone thoughts?

I've Had 5 Black's. The dealer is steering you to a Black because he wants to move it.... Everyone wants a White now.
Why do they want White ones? Because in the first 60 secounds it will not show White Salt all over it. My next one WILL be a White one.

I was also thinking along the lines of them having one in stock as well. Son voted white, so it'll be white.

I had to wait but I went with white(DF140BG). The one good thing about waiting was when I ordered in Sept of 2021, the dealer wasn't sure if I would get a 2021 or 2022 model. I ended up with a 2022.

Black if you hull is cream color if your hull is white i would go with white

Your boat looks great with the black Suzuki! Especially so because of the other black accents with your window trim and rub rail, and port lights... A pure-white engine would not match the Parker off-white anyway.

I wonder if anyone has toyed with the idea of trading chaps and cowlings between white and black engine owners. Think I would dub them the "ORCA Engines "

I have had 3 black Suzuki's and they do show salt spray. I think overall compared to white the black can look better as the motors age. My experience with white (Johnsons) is that they show dirt, grease, and brown stains as they age. Especially the white lower units.

Three years ago I ordered a white Suzuki 175 and the dealer gave me a black one against my wishes. He basically said tough luck. I wanted to get my boat in the water and with the difficulty of getting any motor I took the black. I like the looks of the black on my 23SE which I painted gray but I would have liked to try a white one. Maybe next time. I usually keep my motors about six years then trade for a new one.

I went with Black. The cream color hull with white doesn’t match too well imo.

Both the white and black 300's look great on these Parkers. Glad to hear people are happy with their Suzuki's of any color.
