Not sure if showed mine last July on a new trailer. Bought one to move from MA to WI.

8,000 lb tandem axle with disc brakes, 2530 with IO, replaced a 7,400 lb drum brake one.

I put some of these in cockpit light posts a few years ago. May not have put one here before.

Just one looking down from above.

Bryan: I was coming out of Westbrook Harbor last Tuesday around 6PM on a 57' Ocean, when I saw you come barreling in, through our wake, make a hard turn to port and head into the Harbor.

You where driving your 2530 like it was rented !! :D :D :D

Bryan has been spotted all over recently.

Off of duck island "fishing."

Now I know where duck island is I want in on some raft ups.

Most people don't believe me, but a 250hp Yamaha is plenty of power for the 2520DV in 95% of situations.

I'll take you for a free ride and if you're not impressed, I'll buy you a coffee.

This answer may be long but here it goes. On my set up, I run an original Yamaha stainless steel (painted black) 17P prop. Engine is an F250 four stroke. Performance varies greatly with load, weather, etc. One note is that on the original 2530 Deep Vee set up for a single outboard, it only had a 154 gallon fuel tank. Also, the original 2530 Deep Vee is a different hull than the new one. The new one is built on the XLDV hull and the new one is about 500 lbs heavier. Note that there were also 2530 modified vees as well.

So as for performance, in the bay (as shown in attached pictures) I can get great performance with a normal load and approximatley 100 gallons of fuel.

In the Bay:
Cruise
27 MPH
23 kts
12.6 GPH
2.1 MPG
4,800 RPM
---------------
Open
36 MPH
30 kts
20 GPH
1.7 MPG
6,000 RPM

In the Ocean (Calm), numbers differ:
Cruise
24 MPH
20 kts
14 GPH
1.8 MPG
4,800 +/- RPM
----------------
Open
34 MPH
29 kts
20 GPH
1.6 MPG
5,900 RPM

With the original OX66 250 HP, out of the hole was better and it was quicker, top end was 39 mph. However, the fuel economy was not as good. At best on offshore trips, I would average about 1.2 MPG with the OX66. With the F250, on similar offshore trips I average about 1.7 MPG. With the better economy, I no longer carry the 30 extra gallons of fuel.

Hope this answered the questions.
