engine oil requirements

I have twin 150 yamaha 4 strokes on my parker. I am curious if anyone out there has run regular 10w30 or 10w40 engine oil instead of the 4 stroke outboard oil. I have read on other sites guys do it often. It does meet all the oil grade requirements yamaha specs in their owners manuals if you be sure to check on the container when you buy it.

I have run Mobil One for the past 5 year, no issues.

Thanks bryan. I just got the same mobil 1 oil. Nice boat. I have been watching your window project. Hope its going well. I will eventually try to post some pics of my 2530
