I have a 2000 21Se and was wondering if the bottom is solid fiberglass with no air space as i was thinking of installing a garmin in hull ducer (GT15-IH ) getting tired of cleaning my transom mount as it sits in salt 24/7.

I have a 21' SE (commercial) and have a in hull Garmin (not sure of transducer but the unit is a 541s) that was installed by the previous owner in the bilge area that is recessed at the stern. I get good readings until about 20 mph. I also installed a Raymarine Dragonfly transom mount transducer that works pretty good. That being said my next unit/ transducer will be a thru hull in the little "pocket area" of the bilge. Good luck with your decision.
