This is my winter project.... New member to classic Parker. So far, so good! Launched and ran for first time today.

Speck,

Looks like you did a nice job on the transom. I am just curious why you had to go through the effort? On the Mako and Seacraft websites, when they replace a transom, the wood likes like mulch and clearly has lost its structural strength.

On your before photo, the wood looks fairly dry and doesnt seem to have delaminated from the skin. What caused you to make the repair? Was the transom flexing, or did you add the bracket?

I agree. The wood is appears to be in excellent condition for age of the boat. Compare that to a Grady, Mako or Seacraft of same vintage and you wouldnt be as lucky!
