Greetings,

Curious on anyone who has gone from a single to twins?
Looking at a 250hp (2600hrs) to twin 225hp yamahas (-900hrs each)

I'm aware of having to change Armstrong swim platform
but, should I go back to Armstrong bracket or just a dual bracket without the swim platform?

controls and gauges all come with the motors

Just looking for some background on a project like this?

Thanks!
Boat is rated for 450hp max

I like the platform......It's add's a lot to the boat in looks and usability.

Your going to need a bracket with a larger tub....This is to add flotation.

This may also affect your trim tab setup.

Good luck with the project. I would also recommend adding more rod holders, you don't have enough :D

I've always said you can't have too many..............that's got to be a CP record.

I've fished a 2520 XL quite a bit. I thought it had plenty of punch/power with a 17p prop SWS or REV4. You'd be adding roughly 800# to the equation as well. I'd try to talk myself out of that project.
