Steering Difficulties

Recently picked up a 2300 DV and the steering is very stiff at speed especially when turning the wheel to the left. Yamaha digital 300. Boat and engine are 2017
Ideas?

Start with the basics. Is it hydaraulic or cable? Disconnect the steering from the engine and verify it moves freely.

Is it stiff or non responding. If it is sloppy you have air in and it needs bleeding as minimum.

Stiff. Hard to turn left at speed. Turns easily at slow speeds 5mph for ex..

It’s trim anode. try it set a few degrees off center and slowly adjust.

Will check this. Why would this only affect steering in one direction?

Its designed to correct for sterring torque.
Ever do a burnout with front wheel drive?
