i have a 2006 23 pilot house, when on plan motor is rotating back to center, i believe im having steering fluid leak bye the inner seals on steering ram, whem motor turns to one side on trailer ,steering wheel turns with it, so i asume its not the check valves in the helm, any ideas on how too replace the seals (inner) on steering ram shawn ludlow ma

That is the EXACT failure mode of a faulty check valve that stays open or doesn't seal ... as steering 'torque' from the motor should NEVER turn the steering wheel. Any and all turning moments must be initiated by the hemp, which is actually the 'pump' itself. Your helm pump needs a check valve service.

ok - this has got me interested.
i have a s100 ap on a 23se. worked fine for a year.
now the ap pump "times out" after about 30-45 sec after putting initiating the ap.

could it be the hydraulics rather than the pump??
