Would installing the pump (Johnson WD5.2) on the shelf in the bilge area near the oil tank be a good option? Pics of your washdown system whether installed in the jumpseat or bilge would be much appreciated.

I guess you haven't read a lot here? The go to washdown pump is a Jabsco Parmax Hotshot.

There are 3 models....I always get the middle model.

The shelf would be OK, but mounting it vertical [motor end UP] and out of the way of any bilge splash is
preferred.

Where are you going to pick up supply water from? Dual Port livewellwell pump is preferred. Get it from the lower port. Like this one.

LOL!!!! I saw that same video also...

the water supply wil be coming from the dual port livewell pump i installed last season just like the one you linked.
