Just bought a used 2007 2320 with 130 hrs on the 250Hp engine. The fuel/water separator filter has two wires connecting to the bottom of the bowl and it has a drain plug on the bottom. I could not read the brand name or manufacture on the filter but like to change it out before next season and what are the two wires for ?

The wires you mentioned are most likely water in fuel sensors and will give a warning on the gauge panel.

Manufacturer of your fuel / water separators are most likely either Racor or Yamaha or Parker. They may be "sierra" generics. Simply remove one filter, bring it to your local boathouse supply store and they can match it up for you.

I am still new to this used boat but when the ignition is on then the F/W separator gauge gives a 3 seconds beep. Is this normal or it's telling me there is water in there ?
