    Fuel gauge stuck

All the mechanics around here have a 2-3 week wait. Can I replace this myself despite being a novice? Is it just a matter of unscrewing the bolts, screwing in a new sending unit, and attaching the wires? Or would you recommend I let a professional do it?

    Fuel gauge stuck

Parker 2520XL three years old. Digital yamaha fuel gauge is stuck on 5 bars (5 out of 10). It doesn't budge like it used to when I go up on plane or come down, just stays on 5 bars. Just to confirm I put 30 gallons in the tank and it's still stuck on 5 bars. Dealer had the fuel tank "open" a...

    Can't fill fuel tank - 2520XL

Boat is in the water currently. The guy at the fuel dock had the same idea. No dice. Everyone still thinks it's the filter. Will let everyone know how this turns out.

    Can't fill fuel tank - 2520XL

That's what I was afraid to hear. I'm picturing them having to rip up the deck and installing a new tank, leaving me boatless until the fall. I guess it's out of my hands now. Will have to make arrangements to bring it back to the dealer next week. Thanks for all the help.

    Can't fill fuel tank - 2520XL

No heat or flames near fuel... obvious fact that I should have thought of before posting. Thanks for the reminder. I removed the metal vent from the hull and blew into it, air went through no problem, no salt build up. Then I opened the fuel tank cap and blew into the vent line through the...

    Can't fill fuel tank - 2520XL

Can I start by bypassing the charcoal filter and just running a new long hose from the tank directly to the vent? Or will this be dangerous/do damage? If this is a reasonable first step how do I detach the part of the hose that appears to be glued to the tank spout? Heat gun? Sorry I'm a...

    Can't fill fuel tank - 2520XL

Purchased a new 2520XL in 2020. For the first year or two no fuel issues. During 2022 it became increasingly difficult to fuel up. Whether the tank was 1/4 full or 1/2 full I would have to run the fuel in at almost a trickle, otherwise it would overflow (the turn off mechanism on the fuel...

    Replacing Factory Batteries

Hello, I have a 2020 Parker 2520 XL with single yamaha F300. The boat came with two Deka Marine Master "Starting High Reserve Capacity" batteries (27M6). Recently the batteries died (not down to exactly zero, the windshield wiper still turned on very slowly but nothing else). Someone getting...

    Installing Drawers Under Bench

Thanks so much for the response guys. Antidote - with the drawers out it's just a frame? On the picture on the website it looks like the drawers slide into an enclosed box.

    Installing Drawers Under Bench

Good morning all, I have a 2020 Parker 2520XL with bench option on port side. Under the bench are two storage compartments which as everyone knows is essentially useless (two large spaces where everything is on top of each other and rolls around). I've read people have installed drawers for...

    Crack in New Parker

Good morning all A new 2520XL which was delivered in April of this year. I noticed this crack below today while scrubbing the boat. Is this something I should address? (ie - bring to dealer while still under warranty, cover with some kind of epoxy, etc...)

    New Parker, HORRIBLE Ride

I'm the OP. Thank you for the advice everyone. I slowed my speed and noticed a decent improvement. Using the trim tabs helped very minimally but there was a slight noticeable improvement. If I had to do it over again I'd still go with a deep-V hull as opposed to the modified V that I have...

    New Parker, HORRIBLE Ride

I mean pounding and porpoising. When I'm on plane it doesn't feel like it's "cutting" through the waves and swells, more like I'm riding up each wave and then pounding down in the trough or into the next wave. I have my trim tabs all the way down and clearly on plane. . Goodchance - I've...

    New Parker, HORRIBLE Ride

I have a brand new 2520 XL that I got earlier this year with a single 300hp Yamaha outboard. The boat is beautiful but the only problem is I can't take it in the ocean. If there's even a slight 1 foot swell the boat pounds like crazy. Multiple guests have gotten seasick despite the ocean...

    Sliding Windows Getting Stuck

I have a new 2520XL. The port and starboard sliding windows inside the cabin are extremely difficult to slide open and closed, they make a squealing sound when sliding! It's so difficult to the point where the plastic knob will definitely break off trying to open the windows one of these days...

Instructions for Toilet on Parker 2520

Lots of hoses and valves for the toilet on new Parker 2520. The salesman briefly ran through everything when i purchased it but now i can't recall what runs where. Clear hosing is water supply and narrow white goes away from toilet but after that im lost. Does it automatically go to the holding...

    Survey a New Boat?

Is it necessary to have a new (2020) boat surveyed before purchasing from a dealer that I trust?

    Anchoring System

Thanks for the responses. Anchor balls are fine for retrieving an anchor but don't help when trying to set an anchor over a precise piece of bottom. I'm talking about the setup PKS1801 mentioned. Almost like a pulley/roller system running along the outside of the starboard cabin so someone...

    Anchoring System

Has anyone figured out an easy way to anchor with one person without using windlass? On my old Parker I just ran the anchor line from the bow down the starboard side of the outside of the cabin and around the mid-ship cleat so I could control how much line I was letting out while backing down...

    2520XL LOA

Trying to find a slip for a new 2520XL. The brochure lists LOA at 32' 3" and I'm assuming that includes the bracket but not the engine. Does anyone know the overall length including pulpit, hull, bracket, and outboard in the up position? They're thinking of putting me in a slip meant for 30'...
