Boat is awesome. Question on forward access. Pics enclosed. Anchor locker much to small an opening to get arm into, preventing access to bow pulpit. Bolts forward for windless, etc.

Put hatch forward under deck as shown?? Would need to beef up, fiberglass in supporting pieces. Hatch would need to be relatively wide to get forward.

Odd, elsewhere access is excellent, like transom.

You want that rode dropping right in the middle of that anchor locker. Parkers are nortorous for having small anchor lockers.

I take it.... Where you have the windless is where you want to put it and cannot access that spot? Is that correct?

No matter, as you don't want it there, as the rode would be touching the backside of the boats Stem. This will make the rode not coil around and just cause a bunch of piling up and a Cluster F@*k.

You want it where the hatch is.... You want it elevated, to get a good drop and to not drag the chain on the deck.

Yes it's custom fabrication... No you can Not fasten the windless to that Hatch.

The topic is access to forward bow beneath the deck cap. As is, it would not be possible to unbolt or tighten the Lewmar windless, it would not be possible to remove and replace wiring and navigation light wiring. Well, maybe not impossible but certainly not easy.
Currently, everything works. But, we all know about boat maintenance.

As custom work goes, wouldn’t seem too tough to

(Had to switch to desktop computer, iPad cancels post in midstream).

...it wouldn't seem too tough... to cut in hatch up forward, just under the cap and that area shown in the figure. Glass there is about 1/2" thick and flat. Structural integrity is concern, so would glass in horizontal crossbars. Area is well protected, sits beneath the cap. I will check, though looks like if hatch was about 1.5' wide and 10" tall could get to everything. Down the road I cannot imagine not needing to get up in there.
