    Marthas Vineyard

Parkergirl, I work on the hi-speed ferry that runs from RI to Oak Bluffs MV, and my vote is also for Edgartown. Lots of b&b's there. Rather than taxis use the VTA bus system. They run all over the island for an all day pass around $8 per person. You can also catch a Hy-line ferry out of Oak...

    2520XL Nervous Buyer

Ride quality is quite subjective. It has been covered at great length here. I have a 2520XL and have found it to be quite acceptible on and outside Narragansett Bay. When it gets rough I slow down to a rate that provides a more comfortable ride. If you are concerned about damaging the structure...

    mounting radar

Here is another thread that might offer some additional ideas on radar mounts: http://www.classicparker.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=6920&p=54727&hilit=radar#p54727 The pictures of my install on the Tidechaser are down at the end, but they show the anchor light/steaming light mount to the...

    Newport for New Years!

Sorry I missed your post, Bryan. With a little more advanced notice, I would have dug out my passport to cross the bridge  (local joke) Glad you had a good time. Maybe next time.

    steering knob

I put one of the Sea Dog knobs on the outside station wheel and it works great when doing close quarters manuvering :D

    Parker Shopping

I can only relate my experience with the 2520XL. 3-4 people is great as all fit comfortably inside cabin and "dance floor" cockpit has plenty of room for everyone to move about. 2320 is an 8.5 beam whereas 2520 is 9.5 feet. Trailering may be an issue depending on state overwidth limitations...

    Routine fuel pump maintenance?

Check with Andy at SIM http://www.shipyardisland.com/. Good prices, good service, very helpful. Tell him you saw here on C/P :)

    Nav Lights location

This was done on the 2520 SC tow boat that belongs to the towing/recovery company I sometimes work for. I don't like that placement as I get glare off the cabin foredeck and side windows.

Just purchased new 2520 XLD Sport Cabin

One of the neat things you might want to try, is find out when your boat is being built and see if you can go down to Beaufort (on vacation  ), get a factory tour, and watch them put the hull under the deck. That is something that most of us can only imagine about our Parkers. When I...

Welcome aboard and congratulations on your new ride. Hmmm Stripper fillets Mmm Mm Mmm Mmm Mm :D

    Routine fuel pump maintenance?

The price of new pumps is less than the parts and labor to rebuild them. Good to have one or two on the shelf. Failure only occurs on weekends, after parts dept is closed, or 200 miles from nearest dealer.   Just kidding, but I have 2 in ziplok bags for when it happens again.

    HPDI Probelms.

Not to be a spoiler, but hopefully the mechanic changed both low pressure fuel pumps? If one crapped out, the other might not be far behind, and once the labor is done to remove the stuff to gain access to the area, it doesn't take long to replace them both. The pumps themselves are...
