    2100 Stereo Installation

I want to thank the others here for posting photos of their stereo installations. I found them to be a tremendous help in selecting which components to use as well as where to locate them on the boat. I went with the Poly Planar MA9060 speakers mounted under the gunwales (Hodges Marine, $146...

Want to install a 1 KW thru-hull transducer in my 2100

I've given up on using my Garmin 498 as a bottom machine and going with the Furuno 585 (kinda like going from a Hyundai to a Mercedes Benz) with the Airmar B164-12. Has anyone ever cut one into the hull ? The ducer is 3 3/4" diameter and looking into the bilge it appears there is a piece...

    Airmar B60 question

I'd like to put a new fishfinder either FVC-620 or the 585 and an Arimar B60 thru hull. Should I go with the 12 degree transducer on my boat (2100 SE) ? Seems the 20 degree would be too much angle. or the Airmar B117 which has no angle. Just want to make sure. Does anybody have the same...

    T-Top canvas replacement

I'm thinking about replacing the canvas with a 1/2" sheet of Starboard or Seaboard. Probably just thru bolting it to the tube around the perimeter. A 54" wide sheet will work perfectly. Has anybody ever done this ? Seems like it should work out. Just wondering if there are any downsides.

    Cockpit lighting project

Getting ready for the upcoming season and one of my projects will be to install rope lighting under the gunwales. I want to run separate circuits to light the cockpit fore and aft of the center console with both red and clear lighting and have all the switches in the t-top. Its a bit tight...

Good Bye to the Fluke Season

But I have to say, even though minimum size was 20.5", we had a fabulous season. Absolutely Fabulous. Loads of Quality Fish and loads of fun I think were gonna need a bigger freezer........... Best to all, MWF

Well, It Would Have Been A Keeper Fluke But..........

Dayum Sharks. Its tough enough trying to ketch a keeper fluke (20.5") now we got sharks right in close in competition. A friend of mine who is a charterboat owner told me he saw a 200lb mako breach. This was typical of my catch yesterday. Got sick of it and went home. And yes, I threw them...

    Pop Up Running Light

Bow light is not illuminating. Checked the breaker and it wasn't tripped. Next thing I'll check is the bulb. Kinda surprised and disappointed to have a problem already since the boat is only a year old and very very very low hours on the running lights. Probably a dumb question but, how do...

    First Fluke trip today

The wait was worth it since this is what caught on the first drift (8.9 lbs).

    Bennett 18 x 9 Trim Tabs Installation on a 21SE

Thought I would share some photos of last weekends project and hope they may be of help to someone in the future. Mounted the backing plate about 1/8 above bottom and 3.5 inches in from the chine (dry fitted in this photo). Everything along the way was dry fitted first before caulking...

    21SE Trim Tabs

I'd like to install trim tabs on my 21SE before I haul in soon. I did a search on trim tabs on this site and decided the best size is probably 9 x 18's (correct me if I'm wrong) now the choice is between Bennett and Lenco. I'm leaning towards the Lenco's strictly because I like the switch...
