2330 scupper problems

I have a 1994 2330 with a 2008 250 yamaha and I am getting water back through the scuppers and onto the cockpit floor. we are always standing in water when we are standing near the transom. Have any of you had the same problem and how can I fix it?

My previous 2330 had a similar problem with a Suzuki 250hp on a bracket. The scupper balls on the backside of the boat were not sealing and allowing water to flow back into the boat. I replaced those and that worked well. You can also check to see if there is any water inside your bracket (if your motor is mounted on one and not the transom). Lastly, moving the batteries forward into the cabin would also help immensely.

What type of scuppers do you have, Ball or flapper? The flapper type works ok when the flappers are new or newish. I switched to ball scuppers and they work great but they do need to be cleaned when they stop sealing.
 
Ball Scuppers....... FYI - There are 2 different styles..... Ones you can clean Easy.... and ones you have to dismount and reseal.

You want the ones that you can Clean Easy..... That would be the TH Marine ones...
They use 1 locking screw....Then you turn the clear dome 1/8 turn as a bannett style lug. It comes apart and easy to clean. If the balls and seats are NOT clean....they will leak.

I have a 1993 2510 and had water always coming in. I have 2 Suzuki 150 on a bracket. I replaced the flappers with duckbills , link below, now a 99% improvement. I also added a windless and 100 feet of 5/16 chain up front, this raised the stern and helped balance the boat under way.

Thank you for the responses, I have checked for water in the bracket and there is none. I have the ball type scuppers but have ordered the th scuppers as recommended. I think I will move the batteries into the forward cabin which should take about 175lbs from the stern and add 175lbs into the bow area. Will the long cable run cause any problems with voltage or amperage reduction?

Would love to see a picture of your boat. I have a 94 2320 with extended cabin. Yamaha f300. Curious what makes it a 2330 vs 2320?

BTW I had the wet corners too. Went to duckbills & fixed that but they let very little water out. Going to try the TH balls Warthog recommended. Parker tech once told me you can raise the scuppers 2 inches by straightening the scupper tubes but I'm not going to do that unless the tank fails (it has not) & I have to remove the floor.

The answer is Yes.... But can be overcome by going up in cable size/gauge.

The engine has siemeze 4ga cables on it. Those will now connect to a +/- Power post aft. Then 0 gauge cables will be built. The aft end of the cables will hook to that Power Post. This sets a unique time that you can now upgrade your Master switch to a BEP cluster. :}
