    I Bought a Mac!

I went mac about 12 months ago, and don't think i'll ever go back. 2 days into owning my laptop, I picked it up with my thumb on the mouse pad (glass) and the rest of my fingers beneath......crack! I went to the Apple store fully expecting to have them take it, ship it somewhere, repair it...

    2320 with 225 or 250 yamaha????

I have a 2007 2320 with the 250. Easy cruise in the mid 20's MPH, and top speed of 42 MPH in dead calm conditions. No idea about performance with a 225 on it, but I am sure someone will chime in.

Wow Jim....I hope you didn't take apart your transom to take pics for me! Thanks, I don't need any further pics. I am hauling the boat over to Captiva Island next weekend though if you have any fishing advice for that area, I am all ears.

Leaning Post/Rocket Launcher/Live Well Thingie Installed NEW

Jim, thanks for chiming in here! So the lower outlet on the livewell pump acts as an additional waterpick up that feeds a second pump for the wash down? That way two pumps can draw water from the same thru-hull? I assume yes to both, and if so this changes everything! My first Classic Parker...

    Telescoping outrigger advice

I had a set for awhile...they work well and are well constructed. I found it difficult to keep the halyards from becomong very tangled while they are collapsed...I strongly suggest rigging with heavy(2-300lb.) mono as it won't get as messy as nylon clothes line type of stuff.

Leaning Post/Rocket Launcher/Live Well Thingie Installed NEW

I had no idea what the "standard set up" was. It didn't look like there as much room out the back with the bracket in the way and I didn't know how wise it was to have a hole that close to the water line, but now that you mention it it doesn't seem too bad....the way i rigged it, the drain...

Leaning Post/Rocket Launcher/Live Well Thingie Installed NEW

So now that the whole boat was torn apart, I began to think about this flip down transom seat I have.....The rear "fish box/ storage box" is double walled and the outside wall is pretty flimsy so I tried to remove the outer shroud to the box, but no luck ....either it has hidden screws and/or...

Leaning Post/Rocket Launcher/Live Well Thingie Installed NEW

OK. So.... next was the application of more 5200 on the inside of the bilge around the projecting section of the thru hull fitting. Screwed down the inside flange thingie(don't know what to call it), and applied a liberal amount of teflon tape to the threads in an effort to seal up any leakage...

Leaning Post/Rocket Launcher/Live Well Thingie Installed NEW

Round II. Starts with the thru-hull fitting with sea-cock, and where to locate it. Bilge access is extremely limited, and I needed to make sure the sea cock lever had adequate clearance to operate. Once located, I marked the approximate center by inserting a sharpie thru the open valve. Next...

    Drilling into my pilothouse...

FishDoc..... I got the Lee's wishbones a few weeks ago and have a little advice for your installation. Make a template on thin plywood or heavy cardboard for the hole patterns. I used plywood and mounted the rigger holder to it to be sure it would'nt bind up when deploying or retracting it. I...

Anyone have a Garmin 540 or 545 or the ne 5000 series?

I have the 545 and am not impressed. The user interface is somewhat...ah... retarded is the only word that comes to mind....particularly when utilizing the xm satellite features....I suppose I would not buy it again. I really like my "old" 176c and have been considering mounting it out in the...

http://www.birdsallmarine.com/ I got a leaning post/rocket launcher made by these guys. The owner, Bob, is a nice guy, but they are super laid back there, and I felt like I neede to be extremely clear about what I wanted, and had to check in multiple times to find out about my order. It's a...
