    Trailering

1500 will pull just fine. Stopping is the problem. Make sure the trailer brakes are always in good working order and have boat weight balanced on trailer properly. I pulled a Bertram 25 twin I/O with a Ford F150 approx 50 miles lots of week-ends and a couple of 500 mile trips per year for the...

    1999 Parker 2520 Mod V quote?

I suggest a qualified marine surveyor to look at the boat and engine. If there are no issues with the boat and systems, engine, and electronics I'm inclined to think the price is probably fair, but with 1,000+ hours the engine is near the end of it's service life and has very little value. If...

How does the 2520XL with bracket ride?

Doubling the engines does double the chances of a catastrophic engine failure!

    2100 DV - 175 or 200hp?

I'll repeat what I've seen from someone else on this forum, "I never heard anyone say I wish I had less power!" Dave

    Correct Craft Aquires Parker

Perhaps the new owners will provide some investment in design and engineering to correct some of the long standing problems with Parker boats.(deck and transom rot, gas tank access, lack of built in storage and fish boxes, etc.) Dave

    23 SE repower

I never owned a 23 SE but had a 21 SE with a 2S 150 HP for a few years. I don't think I'd consider a 4S 150 on a 23 SE but one of the light weight 4 cyl 200 HP four strokes may be ideal for you.

    Inland Plywood Company

From my memory of a long time ago I think marine grade plywood was exterior grade using laminates with no voids. Dave

Anyone here move from an 1801 to a 23 SE? What to expect?

A few years ago I went from an 18 Parker to a 21SE. Like night and day. The 21 is a huge step up in percieved size compared to the 18. My 18 did not have tabs but I found the motor trim enough to control the 18 but not so with 21SE. Tabs are a must! My 18 and 21SE both came with pedestal chairs...

    Above Deck Gas Tank (temporary)

I've used multiple 12 and 18 gallon portable plastic tanks to extend the range of a 25 Bertram twin I/O I used to have. I'd burn the portable tanks and store them in the open cabin when empty then switch to the main tanks on overnight Gulfstream trips out of southeastern North Carolina. I made a...

    Trim tabs for 1801

In the past I've owned both an 18 and a 21SE Parker. 18 footer had an Evinrude 140 hp 2 stroke. I never felt I needed trim tabs on it. Engine trim was all I needed. The 21SE with a 150 2 stroke Yamaha was a different story however. Trim tabs are a must have IMO. I would not spend the money to...

    Leaking Fuel Tank

Isn't it about time for Parker to design a tank access so you don't have to cut up the deck to remove a leaking tank?

Difference between 1800 special edition and 1800 cc

I had one of the 18's with the gas tank under the console. It was a early-mid 80's model but I'm pretty sure it had the same deadrise as the current model. Had a 140 hp Evinrude 2S on it. I could be wrong about the deadrise as it's been a long time since I sold it and I don't have any pictures...
