    gas stabilizer ?

Can regular stabilizer be used in the boat for out board or does it really make a big difference using marine stabilizer? The gas will only sit for a few weeks. I have some left over from storing a generator.

    "GOOD" windlass install complete pics

Here is the Good roller I have. There is one that looks like this one but it's longer, doesn't come off like this one. They both pivot to let the anchor out easier.

    fuel tank sending unit removal

I'm still working on it. The ring that goes around the bubble is being stuborn. It's like seems to be some type of metal that was pressed in. Hopefully I'll get it out this week. That gotta go fishing disease make you put things off.

When I lean on the coaming pads on my '90 they are just above my knees. I'll take a measure next time I'm on it.

Why didn't you get the GOOD roller? I don't have the good windlass because it wasn't in my budget at the time, but the roller was. It works great and be taken off.

    fuel tank sending unit removal

It's been a while since I started this but.. Anyway, the boat is a 1990 2310. I finally remembered the camera. Here is what the sending unit looks like. Should this bubble come off and be replaced without taking out the whole unit? This is how my old six gallon tanks used to work, the in tank...

    Water intrusion- what if

Thanks, there is no water in the bilge. It does seem to be a bit lower in the water. I'll just keep an eye on it for a while. I hope that maybe the fuel tank is almost full. The guage isn't working so I just keep putting fuel in. 150 gal. has a lot of weight. It's just hard to not think about it.

    Water intrusion- what if

It's in the water. The boat just seems to feel heavy compared to the first week after launch. Speed and rpm's don't match from last year. Thinking maybe rubbed the trailer when launched.

    Water intrusion- what if

If the bottom ( the keel?) the deep v part, was scaped and the gel coat scaped off will the hull soak up water ? Will the water drain out if this happens when the boat is pulled? Been loosing sleep thinking about this.

    fuel tank sending unit removal

I want to pull the sending unit out. There is a lot of corrosion around the screws. What would be good to soak them with? I don't want to think about if they snap. I tried to pull the bubble only but a screw snapped so now if I want the gauge to work the whole thing has to come out.

    1990 2310 deep vee repower options.....help

I had a 225 Yamaha on mine. Now has a 250 E-TEC (2007). Don't recall the weight but the boat sits the same in the water. The 250 uses a lot less (maybe half) the gas that the 225 did, and using the fake oil (xd-100) is like wise. But I do not think you will find one used, let alone for $7000...

How do I go about putting a pulpit and windlass on a 2520?

You might want to check out Good anchor rollers. The one I have on my '90 2310 can be taken off very easy if they want to charge for the extra length. Takes about 30 sec. A lot (most) marinas will include the pulpit and outboard, gill bracket as the total lenght for the slip.
