I have a 2003 F225 with over 1100 hours and it has never been flushed. It is however serviced on a regular schedule. I have no problems, engine operates fine.
We also fished Saturday around #9 in the Potomac.
Also caught small fish from 27" to 36"
Fished the same area on Friday and caught one 42"
All fish caught down deep on MOJO's in approx 45ft of water.
My 2520 will squeak sometimes when I am trolling. I found it to be the latch that holds the door open.
I just stick something in the hole and then put the latch in it and the noise is gone.
I wear Muck fishing shoes they also make a fishing boot.
They are non marring and they are warm.
Also a little on the pricey side.

I had the same problem with my engine. My mechanic installed a vapor recovery kit part# 90891-40430-00 and everything is fine.
Do a search for vapor lock and/or engine stalls. You will see my post.
Good luck
Dennis
