check with a local commercial fishing/marine supply house...not West Marine, or the other weekend warrior marine suppliers... I'm talking the reel deal...Usually there's a leather neck that'll do it on the side for a few dollars each. Or check with a sailboat supply house...those guys know rope!

Hadn't made a decision yet....working with Prop Gods to try the Rev 4 17pitch 14 5/8 4blade next week. If I'm happy with the performance, I won't even try the Mirage Plus.

Without a doubt go with the 4 stroke Yamaha. HPDI's a good motors, but I've heard too many horror stories about the oil injection system not doing it's job, and causing failure. My buddy had a 250HPDI with 130 hours that blew as we were heading back from Boca Grande to Tampa two years ago...

If you look closely, your seacock is actually a inline ball valve attached to a flange. There is no better set up than you have now, and these fittings have been used in boats for many years...Time tested.

Why not run it over the transom with 3M cable hooks, and tie downs. Mine is drilled through the transom, and 3M5400 to seal the hole, then have a SS fitting to finish it off...that's only because mine was professionally installed. I HATE drilling holes, and would sacrifice aesthetics to not...

Have you been trailering the boat with motor up? this will cause damage to the bushings.. Yamaha also had a recall on some of these, you might want to check your serial number with a Yamaha dealer and see what's been done and what hasnt
