    Custom Switch Panel

I completed my install of a custom switch panel from http://www.newwiremarine.com. I wanted all of my switches labeled and also lit up at night. It came out perfect, not too difficult of a job. The panel illuminates when the navigation or anchor light switch is on. Eric Steele was great to work...

    Filet table telescoping arms

My dad fabricated a bracket to hold a pair of stainless steel locking arms for the filet table. Now I do not need to mess with it after we clean the boat up and it has enough clearance to get the motor almost all the way up. It locks in place nicely.

    Finally got my carpet

Finally pulled the trigger and ordered custom carpet for the boat. Cuts came out perfect, looks nice and feels good on the feet. I have tried dri dek, and I have non skid in there as well....did not like the results of either, I'm hoping this will last for a long time.

Lots of projects- House bank, switch, monitor, lights + more

I finally got around to working on a few projects I have been kicking around for awhile. First, I have been wanting to get a battery iosolator switch to isolate my house bank from my starting battery, rather than the stock 1-2-both-off setup. I picked up the switch online for $30.....lucky me...

For Sale: Bench seat, prop, lights, steering wheel

Cleaning out the garage to make room for another project. I would prefer local pickup but I can ship at the buyers expense if needed. This is the top to the bench seat in my 2520. It's in excellent condition, no rips but just needs a little cleaning. This would be perfect for someone building...

    Yamaha F250 Aux Charging cable

I'm thinking about incorporating this to charge a house battery. This may be a stupid question, but is it safe thee assume that the charge is essentially split in half between two battery's? If this is the case, wouldn't it be just as good to use a VSR between a starting battery and house load...

    Fuel Water Seperator Indicator Question

I went to a clear bowl on my filter a while back, and the indicator guage is sitting on my dash not in use. I was wondering if there is a way I can wire it to my bilge switch...so the buzzer would go off when the float switch is activated. It would save me from installing a high water alarm. Has...

    Bench Seat Project Completed

The project all came together today, all the upholstery was done and the finished product far exceeded my expectations. I can’t wait to get her out on an overnighter to test everything out. The reason for the project was to create more storage, get an extra bed to sleep a 4th on overnighters and...

    Bench Seat Project

A good fishing buddy of mine started building the bench this week, he is a carpenter and does some phenomenal work. We are hoping to have the bench finished and mounted this week, then I can get on to the upholstry. Here are a few pics. It's going to have a microwave in the upper left hand side...

    Recent projects

I have several projects that I have not shared, figured I would post it all together. I'll start with the radio's on the tower. I purchased a second radio, the raymarine ray 49, two new shakespear 5225-xt antennas, and mounted them onto my tower. Lighting: I have moved to all LED lights...

    White Seabass Report

Fished a kayak tournament today in La Jolla and nailed a 40lb Seabass on my first drop. I was really far into the kelp and found a little hole that looked fishy. Dropped down my leadhead with a dead squid and got nailed almost immidiately. The spectra cut through all the kelp and brought the...

    Installing flush mount rod holders...

OK, so I finally got my rod holders. I'm getting ready to install. I'm going to use the mitre saw to cut a wood block at 30 degrees so I can drill the pilot hole. The actual tube for the rod holders is 2" so should I assume I need a 2" hole saw? I saw another thread where 2 1/2" was used but...
