I would be very careful. There have been many who lost their motors due to corrosion extending even into the powerhead - and their lack of response to an obvious manufacturing defect tells you a lot about how Yamaha stands by its products.

My Parker has been in a wet slip year round since December 2007 and has only come out to be serviced/bottom painted. I have the bottom cleaned once a month by a diver - very common in South Florida. (It even survived Irma!) I have had no problems thus far.
